About the artist
Hello, my name is Ian David Spencer, and I am a visionary artist based in Cornwall, UK.
My work explores the space where reality and imagination meet. Combining photography, digital painting and mixed media techniques, I create atmospheric and immersive artworks that invite viewers into worlds that feel both familiar and mysterious - places where reality starts to dissolve.
Inspired by nature, landscape, dreams, symbolism and the unknown, I am drawn to themes of transformation, altered perception and the possibility that there is more to existence than we can easily explain. My artworks depict imagined realms, forgotten places and symbolic landscapes that encourage reflection, curiosity and personal interpretation.
I approach each piece intuitively, allowing ideas to emerge through experimentation rather than following a fixed plan. By layering texture, light, atmosphere and visual storytelling, I aim to create images that evoke emotion, wonder and a sense of connection to something deeper.
